Brightway Excel/CSV/TSV, openLCA JSON-LD ZIP packages, or SimaPro CSV. Up to 5 MB per file.

Your submission stays private until an editor publishes an accepted version.
A verified email address is required to start a submission.
Submission guide
Before you start
- Export your inventories in one of the supported formats above.
- Have a source note and the intended background database, version, and system model ready.
- Choose a license and confirm your sharing rights.
- Check files for credentials and unnecessary personal or confidential data.
See the license guidance and privacy notice.
From upload to publication
- Upload and validate. Fix blocking errors in your source files and upload again. Review warnings; they remain visible during review.
- Prepare drafts. Once blocking errors are resolved, generate drafts and complete their metadata.
- Submit for review. An editor assigns reviewers. Respond to their feedback before the editor makes a decision.
Editors and assigned reviewers can access submitted material during review. It becomes public only when an editor publishes an accepted version.
CLIC is a non-commercial platform run by researchers, with inventory validation, background linking, and exports for common LCA tools.
Quality checklist before review
- Resolve blocking errors and review validation warnings.
- Describe technology, geography, time period, data quality, methods, and system boundary.
- Include relevant product properties: LHV, density, moisture basis, carbon content, or CAS number.
- Cite references and explain data origins and modelling assumptions.
- Check relevant material balances, such as carbon or water.
