CC0 1.0 Universal
CC0 is a public-domain dedication rather than a conventional license. The rights holder waives copyright and related rights to the extent allowed by law. Others may copy, modify, and distribute the material, including commercially, without asking permission.
CC0 does not clear patents, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or third-party rights. CLIC still expects clear scientific attribution and provenance even where legal attribution is not required by CC0.

CC BY 3.0
Others may share and adapt the material for any purpose with attribution. CLIC retains this older option so imported material can preserve the licence version that actually applies instead of being relabelled as CC BY 4.0.

CC BY 4.0
Others may share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial use. They must give appropriate credit, link to the license, indicate changes, and avoid implying endorsement. They may not add legal or technological restrictions that remove the granted freedoms.
Read the official CC BY 4.0 deed and legal code (opens in a new tab).
CC BY-NC 3.0
Others may share and adapt the material only for non-commercial purposes and must provide attribution. Creative Commons identifies 3.0 as an older license version and recommends 4.0 when a rights holder is licensing new work; CLIC retains this option for material already governed by CC BY-NC 3.0.

CC BY-NC-SA 4.0
Others may share and adapt the material for non-commercial purposes with attribution. Adapted material must be distributed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, and users must indicate changes without implying endorsement.
Read the official CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 deed and legal code (opens in a new tab).
CC BY-NC-ND 4.0
Others may copy and redistribute the unchanged material for non-commercial purposes with attribution. They may make adaptations for themselves, but may not distribute modified material under this license. A format-only conversion does not necessarily create an adaptation.

Undisclosed license type
This declaration is not a license and does not itself grant reuse permission. It records that the exact license type is not disclosed and that the submitter accepts responsibility for sharing the material. Select it only when you have verified that you may submit and distribute the inventory despite not naming a standard license.
You must still confirm your rights basis, absence of publisher or third-party conflict, and authority to share the material. Editors may request evidence or decline publication when the applicable rights remain unclear.
Before submitting
- Confirm that you are the rights holder or have explicit authorization from the rights holder.
- Check publication agreements and employer, institution, coauthor, funder, and database terms.
- Choose the license that actually applies; do not choose a more permissive option merely to simplify submission.
- Record the original citation, DOI, and existing license where applicable.
- Remove confidential information and unnecessary personal data from files and free text.
